Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu - Nō hea koe?

Nō hea koe? 
Where are you from? 

We are in a Manaiakalani programme called Tuhi Mai Tuhi Atu. 

We have got 2 blogging buddies. 
We take turns at reading each other's blogs and commenting on the posts.

Here are our 3 schools.

St Mary's Catholic Primary School is in Tūranganui A Kiwa/Gisborne.

Matawai School is in Tairāwhiti. 

Wigram School is in Christchurch | Otautahi.

Let's fly over New Zealand and find the schools.

River Visit

 We went to Korte's Creek to look at the river and all the things that live and grow there.

We used Explain Everything on our iPad to make a project about our visit. We drew the living things we found. We took photos of some of the insects we found. We used the lasso tool to cut around the image. We recorded our voices to tell you about our images.

This is Me

 This week in or Cybersmart lesson with Mrs Torrie we used our iPad camera to take a selfie. Then we edited the image and drew on it to give ourselves sunglasses and sunhats for the summer.

Then we added the images to Explain Everything and recorded our voice. What a lot of work we did today.

Room 1 2021

This is Room 1 of Matawai School.

Our teacher is Mrs Fisher.

Every Monday Mrs Torrie comes and we learn how to use our iPads.

Today we made a project about the building.

They are building two new classrooms.

When they are built Room 3 and Room 4 are going to be demolished and 

they will be move into the new classrooms.

Things I like

 Today in our Cybersmart lesson we were leanring how to find images that we are allowed to use. We saved the images and then we made a movie with them.

Sunsmart

 At Matawai School we have to wear a sunhat in term 1 and term 4. We all have school hats to wear. Our hats hang up in the corridor when we are not wearing them. As well as this we sit in the shade to eat. We took photos of each other eating our lunch in the shade. We took a photo of a place we like to play as well.

The Chicks Have Hatched!

 When we got to school on Tuesday we found that some of our chickens had hatched. Some were fluffy and some were wet. The wet ones had just hatched. We saw some eggs with cracks in them and little tiny beaks sticking out.

We took some photos and videos of the chicks in the incubator and made a movie about them. Some of us are taking chicks home with us.
